UP: 3 dead as car catches fire after ramming truck in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (UP): Three persons were killed when a car caught fire after ramming into a stationary truck in Jariya area of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Thursday.
 
Police sources said that the incident took place late on Wednesday night when the car returning from Chitrakoot rammed into the stationary team near Italiawaja village.

"After ramming into the truck the car caught fire in which Rakesh (53), Jitendra (35) and Shareef (50), all residents of Jalaun, were charred to death," they said.
 
Police sources said that Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sarila and Circle Officer along with the police force reached the spot and attempted to extinguish the fire, but the car passengers had died. "The bodies have been sent for post mortem examination. The truck is said to be from Bikaner in Rajasthan," they said.
 
Police sources said that the victims were returning to Jalaun after paying obeisance in Chitrakoot. (UNI)
