Uttar Pradesh: 32-yr-old woman dies after being given wrong injection; doctor, two assistants booked

Shahjahanpur: Three persons, including a quack, were booked after a 32-year-old woman died allegedly after being injected wrong vaccine in Kalan town of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a police officer said here.
 
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Manoj Kumar said that Asma, a resident of Kalan town, complained of stomach ache after which she was taken to a local doctor on Thursday.

"When the pain persisted the doctors administered an injection after which Asma died late in the night," he said.
 
He said that the police has lodged a case of death due to negligence against the accused doctor Avaneesh, his two assistants Priyanka and Ajay.

"The body has been sent for postmortem examination and the matter is being investigated," he added.
