Uttar Pradesh: Woman beaten to death by husband over family discord in Ballia

Ballia: A 25-year-old woman was beaten to death by her husband allegedly over family discord in Sahartwar area in this district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

Police sources here said that Ram Pravesh, a resident of Pakahan village, got married to Sangita in the year 2016. "The couple had no issue after so many years of marriage which led to tension between the two," they said.

The sources said that on Wednesday the couple once again had a dispute over the same issue during which Ram Pravesh hit Sangita with a stick, killing her on the spot. "The body has been sent for postmortem examination," they said.
