Youth shot dead in house of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore's son in Lucknow, son’s pistol recovered

Lucknow: A 30-year-old youth died after suffering a bullet injury under mysterious circumstances inside the house of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore's son in Thakurganj area of the state capital Lucknow in the wee hours of Friday, police sources said.
 
Police sources said that the bullet-ridden body of Vinay Shrivastava, a resident of Fareedpur, was found inside the house of Vikas Kishore, son of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore, in the wee hours. "The pistol has been recovered from the spot. It is being said that the deceased was close to Vikas," they said.
 
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Rahul Raj said, "A youth named Vinay Shrivastava died after sustaining a bullet injury. There is an injury mark on the head. A pistol has been recovered from the spot, and it is being said that it belongs to Vikas Kishore," he said.
 
He said that the incident is said to have happened around 4 a.m. "A forensic team was called on the spot to collect evidence. A dog squad and Crime Branch team have been deployed to work out the case. A complaint has been received from the brother of the deceased in which murder has been suspected, and a case is being lodged," he said.
 
The DCP said that an investigation was being done regarding the licenced pistol used in the incident. "The body has been sent for the postmortem examination," he said.
 
Meanwhile, Vikas Shrivastava, the brother of the deceased, has raised suspicions about four people who were present in the house in his complaint. He has stated that his brother might have been killed.
 
Union Minister Kaushal Kishore said that he himself informed the Police Commissioner after he came to know about the incident. He said that his son, Vikas, was in Delhi at the time of the incident. (UNI)
