Zomato delivery man arrested after he forcibly kisses woman customer in Pune

Pune: The city police on Tuesday arrested a food delivery boy for allegedly molesting a young woman in Yevlewadi area.

On Saturday night, the woman, a resident of a reputed society in Yevlewadi area of city, had ordered food using Zomato app after coming home from work, police said.

After handing over the food parcel to the woman at around 2130 hours, accused Rais Sheikh, a resident of Kondhwa area, asked for a glass of water for drinking.

When the woman brought him the drinking water, he grabbed her hand and molested her.

Police officials said the accused kissed the woman twice on her cheek on the pretext of saying 'thank you'.

A case under section 354 of Indian Penal Code (molestation) has been registered at the Kondhwa police station in regard to crime, sources added. (UNI)
