Mumbai: The much-anticipated TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) Player Auction list has been unveiled, with the auction set to take place in Bengaluru on December 15.
The auction list features a total of 120 players, comprising 9 Capped India players, 21 Capped Overseas players, 82 Uncapped India players, and 8 Uncapped Overseas players.
The list reflects the league's growing focus on talent from across the globe, with a strong contingent of emerging India players alongside established international stars.
Out of the 120 players, 19 slots are available for teams to fill, including 5 reserved for overseas players. The auction will commence at 3pm and promises to be a key event as franchises look to bolster their squads for the 2025 season.
Roger Binny, President of the BCCI and Chairperson of the WPL Committee, expressed excitement over the upcoming auction, highlighting the growing global interest in women’s cricket.
The auction is set to bring together some of the best talent from around the world, further elevating the competitive spirit of the WPL.
