AFI admits its mistake over Hima Das's English skills

New Delhi: Athletic Federation of India who faced a wrath for commenting over Hima Das English speaking skills on twitter has admitted its mistake.
 
         
AFI had posted a video on their Twitter account after Hima's semi-final at the IAAF World Under-20 Championships in Finland two days back."#HimaDas speaking to media after her SF win at #iaaftampere2018 @iaaforg Not so fluent in English but she gave her best there too. So proud of u #HimaDas Keep rocking & yeah,try ur best in final!"  AFI had captioned the video.
 
Hima scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a gold at world level.
Eighteen-year-old Assamese girl Hima Das made India proud by clinching gold in women's 400m final race in the IAAF world cup Under-20 Athletics Championship in Finland on Thursday.(UNI)
