Another blow to CSK, Harbhajan Singh pulls out of IPL 2020

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Friday pulled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 due to personal reasons.
''Dear Friends I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL Stay safe and Jai Hind,'' Harbhajan tweeted.
 
The veteran off-spinner is the second high-profile name to miss the tournament for CSK after vice-captain Suresh Raina, who also withdrew citing personal reasons.
 
While Raina had returned home after travelling with the team to the UAE, Harbhajan had remained in India.Harbhajan is one of the most successful bowlers in the history of IPL with 150 wickets.
 
The 13th edition of IPL was shifted out of India due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will be played from September 19 to November 10 across 3 cities in the UAE - Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.However, BCCI hasn't announced the fixtures for the tournament till now.(UNI)
