New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed Australia's incredible run at the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup in New Zealand.
"Many congratulations to you for Australian women's wonderful performance in the ICC World Cup. Australia won Saturday's match but the tournament is still on. I wish all the best to the teams of both the countries," Modi told his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison.
India suffered a six-wicket loss at the hands of Australia in a World Cup league match at the Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.
After the win, Australia became the first team to qualify for the semifinals. (UNI)
