IND vs AUS: Rain threat looms large on 2nd ODI

Visakhapatnam: The second ODI between India and Australia may be marred by rains and well be reduced to even a T20 match at YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium here on Sunday.

The city has been experiencing showers since Saturday evening. However, the ground boasts of a very good drainage system and can help match to resume in an hour after the rains stop.

The conditions are likely to be mixed. It is expected to be sunny, but as the time passes by chances of thunderstorms are expected in the first and second innings.

The humidity is expected to be 96 percent and the dew point is predicted at 21 degrees Celsius. The air quality would be excellent and cloud cover is expected to be 76 percent.

The entire ground will be under the covers, and super soppers will be used to drain the water logged on the ground.

Today's match is very crucial for both India and Australia. If India wins the match, they will bag the three-match ODI series. Australia, on the other hand, will eye for a victory to keep their hopes alive in the series.

Captain Rohit Sharma, who missed the first ODI in Mumbai due to the wedding of his brother-in-law, is returning for today's match which may compel the think tank to make some changes. Possibly, the out-of-form Ishan Kishan may be asked to give way for Rohit.

Rohit would like to take advantage of YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium as it is a good scoring ground. The average first innings total at the stadium in ODIs is 241.
