Mumbai: In a move that is set to bolster India's chances in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, the Men's Selection Committee has announced robust squads for the T20I and ODI series.
Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20I team, while Rohit Sharma will captain the ODI team.
The T20I squad, which includes some of India's most talented players, looks formidable with the likes of Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Riyan Parag providing a strong batting lineup.
The experienced Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson will handle wicket-keeping duties. The team's bowling attack will be led by the dynamic Hardik Pandya, supported by Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Mohammad Siraj.
The ODI squad, led by Rohit Sharma, features a mix of experienced players and young talent. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer will provide stability to the batting order, while Pant and Rahul will handle wicket-keeping duties.
The bowling attack will be led by the seasoned Kuldeep Yadav, supported by Siraj, Sundar, Arshdeep, Parag, Axar Patel, Khaleel, and Harshit Rana.
The series, which includes three T20Is and three ODIs, is set to take place from July 27 to August 12. The T20I leg will be played in Pallekele, while the ODIs will be held in Colombo.
