India no more in the top 100 World FIFA rankings

Kolkata: India slipped out of first 100 countries in World football rankings as FIFA Rankings released on Thursday, first of this year.Indian national senior team dropped six spots to 103 in the latest set of FIFA Rankings. India were 97 in 2018.
India are currently 18th in the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) region.India had ended 2018 at the 97th rank before they were out early at the 2019 Asian Cup at the group stage in United Arab Emirates, that saw new winners Qatar, who beat Japan in the final.
 
 Asian Cup champions Qatar have made the biggest move both by points and places, climbing 38 spots to 55th in the rankings. Korea DPR suffered the biggest drop, by 15 places to 38.(UNI)
