India thump S Africa by 9 wickets; lead series 2-0

Centurion: India thumped South Africa by 9 wickets in the second ODI at the SuperSport Park here on Sunday.With this win India now lead 2-0 in the six-match series against the Proteas. India bundled out South Africa for 118 in 32.2 overs. 

For South Africa Amla (23), was bowled out by Kumar while de Cock (20) was caught off by Pandya in Chahal's spell, however, skipper Markram fell cheaply at score of 8 losing his wicket to Kuldeep Yadav, Duminy fell at score of 25 after being bowled lbw off Chahal.

For India Chahal was the leading wicket taker bagging 5 wickets, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets, Bumrah and Kumar chipped in one wickets each.Meanwhile, India had no trouble in reaching a small total set by the Proteas.

For India Shikhar Dhawan (51) and skipper Virat Kohli (46) remained unbeaten.Dhawan's 51 came off in 56 balls hitting 9 fours while Kohli scored 46 off 5 balls hitting 4 fours and a six while Rohit Sharma (15) was caught off by Morkel in Rabada's spell. Rohit hit 2 fours and a six.India managed to reach the target in 20.3 overs with 177 balls remaining in the 50 overs after losing one wicket.(UNI)
