Chasing a formidable target of 225 runs, Gujarat Titans showcased remarkable grit and determination throughout their innings. Opener Wriddhiman Saha provided a solid start with a quickfire 39 off 25 balls, while Sai Sudarshan contributed a crucial 65 off 39 deliveries. However, the Gujarat Titans fell agonizingly short, finishing at 220/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
In the final over, with six runs needed off the last ball, Rashid Khan attempted a big shot but failed to clear the boundary, sealing a thrilling win for Delhi Capitals.
Earlier in the match, Delhi Capitals, opting to bat first, amassed a challenging total of 224/4 in their 20 overs. Captain Rishabh Pant led from the front with an explosive unbeaten innings of 88 runs, featuring 5 boundaries and 8 sixes. Akshar Patel also played a crucial role, contributing 66 runs with the help of five fours and four maximums.
