An arrest warrant has been issued for Upul Tharanga, the Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket’s Selection Committee, after he failed to appear in court on October 8, media reports said.
The warrant issued by the Matale High Court is connected to a match-fixing case, which Tharanga had initially reported, involving the Legends League tournament held in Kandy, the Daily mirror report said. It was reported that Tharanga is currently in the United States, where he is participating in a franchise cricket tournament.(UNI)
