Pune: Lavishing praise on his bowlers, Gujarat Titans Captain Hardik Pandya said his bowlers can make a 10 under-par score look like 25 and above.
"The kind of attack we have, we always felt that we can make a score that's 10 under-par look like 25 above. I thought there were periods where Delhi were ahead, but then that Lockie (Ferguson) over really changed things for us," he said at the post-match presentation ceremony here.
Ferguson showed a devastating bowling display by hauling up four wickets in two separate two overs in as many spells.
Pandya admitted that Gujarat were about 10-15 short, but his bowlers gave him confidence of making it up in the field.
"We were one bowler short with Varun Aaron's injury and this forced us to take the game as deep as possible and it worked for us," he said.
Till Rishabh Pant was in the middle, Pandya said, the game was in the balance or maybe Delhi was ahead.
On Shubnam Gill's 84 off 46 balls, Pandya said, "This is the Shubman we all want to see and I hope all the other batsmen can take confidence from him."
Ferguson said it was a good all-round performance from the bowlers and Pandya always gives them confidence to play the game that they want to play and it's nice to have a captain who trusts their skills.
"Was one of those nights and with the kind of bowling partners I have, it makes things very easy for me. It's great to have a potent bowling unit and helps to spread calmness in the group. The pressure was coming from both ends with the ball and it worked for us," he added.
Asked about his bowling extra fast, Ferguson said it was more of an instinct thing because there was a lot of bounce in the surface and he was looking to bang away on that hard length.
"Some gripped it and it worked for me with Rishabh Pant's wicket," he added.
Ferguson was given the player of the match award. (UNI)
