Bangladesh vs Pakistan 1st Test : The Bangladesh cricket team made history by defeating Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test match in Rawalpindi on Sunday, August 25. Although it looked like the match might end in a draw, Bangladesh clinched a dramatic victory on the fifth day. This win is significant for the Bangladesh team, as it is their first ever Test victory against Pakistan. Before this match Pakistan had won 12 out of 13 encounters with only one ending in a draw.

Pakistan declared their first innings at 448/6, but Bangladesh responded with 565 runs, their highest total against Pakistan.
 
In their second innings, Pakistan struggled against Bangladesh’s bowlers. Except for Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 51, the rest of the team fell quickly, and Pakistan was all out for 146. Saim Ayub made only 1 run, while Babar Azam scored 22 and Saud Shakeel went out for 0.
 
With a 117-run lead from the first innings, Bangladesh needed just 29 runs to win. They reached this target comfortably, scoring 30 runs in 6.3 overs without losing a wicket
 
Zakir Hasan (15) and Shadman Islam (9) were unbeaten.
