What! Wicket-keeper dies after hit by bat of the batsman in follow-through

Kalyani: A first year para-medic student, identified as Koushik Acharya, was killed after being hit by a bat while playing at ITI More ground here on Sunday. Koushik was keeping the wicket from close, during a practice session. 

He was hit by the bat at the back of his head, when his batch mate Sandip Mishra tried to hit a ball. He was rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital where the medics declared him brought dead.Koushik,a resident of Khargram in Murshidabad, was 21.The bereaved family members have demanded a probe into the accidental death of the youth.(UNI)
