Ghaziabad: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Uttar Pradesh pacer Yash Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on serious allegations of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment, and cheating under false promises of marriage.
An FIR has been registered at Indirapuram Police Station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The complaint, filed by a woman from Ghaziabad, outlines a five-year relationship with Dayal.
According to her, the cricketer misled her into believing they would marry and even introduced her to his family, who allegedly accepted her as their “daughter-in-law.” She claims this act deepened her trust and made her emotionally vulnerable.
The FIR reads, “For the past five years, the complainant had been in a relationship with the cricketer. He emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her by falsely promising marriage. Upon realising the deception, she protested, after which she was subjected to physical violence and psychological abuse.”
The complainant has also accused Dayal of financial exploitation and revealed that he maintained similar relationships with other women. Despite contacting the women’s helpline (181) on June 14, she claims the local police failed to take action initially. Now, she has approached the Chief Minister’s office seeking intervention.
Supporting her claims, she has submitted digital evidence including chat records, screenshots, video calls, and photographs. She has demanded a swift and transparent investigation into the matter.
Section 69 of the BNS deals with sexual activity obtained through fraudulent means — such as promises of marriage or jobs — and allows for imprisonment of up to 10 years if convicted.
There has been no official statement from Yash Dayal or his representatives as of this report.
