Puri: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a ten feet long sand glove to congratulate Lovlina Borgohain for winning the bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics at Puri beach in Odisha.
India’s Lovlina Borgohain settled for a hard-fought Bronze Medal after losing the women's welterweight semifinal (69kg) versus world’s number one Business Surmeneli in Tokyo Olympic.
She became the third athlete to bag a medal for India.
Sudarsan has created 10 feet long sand boxing gloves with Lovlina and a message " Pride of India". He took 4 hours and used about 8 tons of sand to create the unique sand sculpture.
“We congratulate Lovlina for winning the bronze medal in the Olympics” said Sudarsan.
The sand artist has created many sand sculptures to wish Indian players after winning medals.
Sudarsan, a Padma Shree awardee has participated in many International sand art championships and festivals around the World and won many prizes for the country. (UNI)
