SL cricketer Rajapaksa withdraws retirement decision

Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Thursday announced that Bhanuka Rajapaksa has withdrawn his decision to retire from international cricket.

SLC said in a statement: "Pursuant to a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa and after consulting the national selectors, Bhanuka Rajapaksa has notified SLC that he wishes to withdraw his resignation which he tendered to SLC on January 3."The 30-year-old said in a letter to SLC that he wishes to represent his country in the game he loves.
