Team India sports black armbands to pay homage to Lata Mangeshkar

Ahmedabad: Team India wore black armbands in the first One Day International against West Indies top pay homage to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

The 92 year-old legendary singer passed away on Sunday after battling with Covid-19 and its complication for 28 days in Mumbai.

The legendary singer was a huge cricket fan. She helped BCCI garner Rs 20 lakh to reward 1983 cricket world cup heroes.

Besides, BCCI always had two tickets reserved for her for every international match played in India. (UNI)
