Two centuries highlight of 2nd round of Buchi Babu cricket tournament opening day

Chennai: Two centuries, one by Baba Indrajth of TNCA XI and the other by lower order batsman No.8 Ninad Rathva of Baroda were the highlights on the opening day of the second set of four league matches in the All India Buchi Babu cricket tournament held in various venues in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
 
Batting first, TNCA XI posted 329 before being bowled out in the last over of the day, with Baba Indrajith scored 139 (13x4, 2x6) before retiring hurt at Coimbatore against Haryana.

Opener S. Lokeshwar scored 99, 11x4 1x6 and missed the century by a solitary run after adding 213 runs in 60.2 overs with Indrajith for the third wicket, before they lost wickets to be bowled out for 329.

At Dindigul, Baroda batting first, were bowled out for 255 after losing early wickets. However, the innings was give a facelift by No.8 batsman Ninad who scored 111 with 11x4 and 6x6 in a fine counterattack to add respectability to the total against J and K, which finished the day at 29 for two.

In other matches, TNCA President's XI scored 283 for six against Indian Railways, while Hyderabad finished at 61 for one after skittling out Jharkhand for 178 at Salem and Coimbatore grounds respectively.
