Colombo: Nine Sri Lankan players were sent back from the Colombo Airport to their homes while heading to India for the upcoming ODI series after Sports Minister refused their approval.

According to reports the country’s sports minister had not approved of the squad. The first ODI is scheduled on 10th December. As per rumors, the Srilankan board has taken this extreme step due to the ever rising pollution level of Delhi in the last test played at Feroz Shah Kotla. Thisara Parera will be leading Srilankan team while Rohit Sharma will be the captain of Men in Blue. (WD)
