The BCCI faced the wrath of Twitterati when it shared a picture of Team India at the High Commission of India in London, which also included Captain Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.
The actress was seen standing in the front row next to his husband Virat in the picture, with the rest of the team members standing on either side of her.
Anushka Sharma has been accompanying her husband-cricketer on his tour to UK for test series and the couple has been keeping their fans updated by sharing their pictures regularly. But this time, the fans are not that happy.
Many Twitter users asked BCCI why Anushka Sharma was in the picture which had only Indian cricket team member and Indian High Commission in the frame. While some objected why Anushka was standing next to Virat while the Vice Captian of the team Ajinkya Rahane stood in the last row.
The photo has come amidst an instruction issued by the BCCI to its players that their spouses or girlfriends would be allowed to stay with them not more than two weeks during the tour exceeding 45 days.
