Sydney: Indian batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches against Australia due to a wrist injury during practice in Melbourne. Team India has suffered a major setback due to Rahul's exit from the remaining Test series.
Rahul did not get a chance to play in the first two matches of the current series. The third match of the 4-match series will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground from Thursday.

BCCI said in a statement, "KL Rahul got strain on his left wrist while batting at the nets during the Indian team's practice session at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on Saturday."

Board added, "The wicket-keeper batsman will not be available for the remaining two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he needs three weeks to recover from injury."
