Wrestler Suraj Nikam commits suicide

Renowned 'Kumar Maharashtra Kesari' title winner wrestler Suraj Janardan Nikam committed suicide on Friday at his residence in Sangli district.

According to police, the 30-year-old Suraj committed suicide by strangulating himself.
The incident came to light when his relative went to call him. An unconscious Suraj was immediately shifted to a rural hospital, but he died before any medical treatment. The cause of suicide was not known yet.

Suraj, who played many wrestling bouts and won by defeating renowned wrestlers, married only one and a half months back. Last year he won 'Kumar Maharashtra Kesari' title.(UNI)<>
