In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl from Bengaluru reportedly developed a hole in her stomach after consuming 'smoke paan' containing liquid nitrogen at a wedding reception.
Soon after consuming the smoke paan, the girl complained of intense stomach pain and was taken to a doctor, who advised immediate surgical intervention to prevent further complications as she had developed a hole, of size 4×5 cm, in her stomach.
The portion of the girl’s stomach with the hole was surgically removed via a sleeve gastrectomy. The child was in intensive care for two days, and was discharged from the hospital after six days.
In another recent incident, a video of a boy from Karnataka went viral, where he can be seen screaming in pain after eating a “smoking biscuit”.
