In a viral video, a Land Rover was spotted chained to a tree in London in an effort to prevent it from being stolen. It comes as thieves have started using the car's keyless entry to hack into the high end vehicles in seconds.
The video shows Land Rover Defender- which can cost more than Rs 1 crore - tethered to a tree using a thick metal chain.
The heavy-duty chain is wrapped around the car and tree at least twice and secured with a large padlock in an attempt to deter thieves.
Range Rovers are the second most often stolen vehicle in Britain.
As insurance premiums are skyrocketing, some owners of the vehicles struggling to even get cover for their cars.
