Real life 'Bad Newz'! Woman finds out one of the twins isn't biologically hers; husband slept with surrogate; says “My world turned upside down”

A woman divorced her husband after finding out that one of the twins wasn't hers. This bizarre case will remind the readers of Vicky Kaushal's latest release 'Bad Newz'. The comedy movie is based on a medical condition known as Heteropaternal Superfecundation wherein one set of twins has two different fathers.

A Reddit user ThrowRA-3xbetrayal claims that a DNA test showed that while her husband was the father of their son, she wasn't the biological mother. The woman says that around six years back she found out that due to a medical condition, she cannot carry a child to full term. So they started looking for surrogates. She started working multiple jobs to arrange for the money.

This is when one of her friends from college offered to carry the child for them. "My close friend since college who'd already had 2 kids of her own, offered to serve as the surrogate for us to cut down on costs. After two disappointing IVF sessions that did not result in pregnancy, she became pregnant on the 3rd try and carried a boy to term for us,” the ThrowRA-3xbetrayal wrote.

The Reddit user noticed that her husband and her friend had been hanging out together in her absence. “My friend and my husband started talking more and I would sometimes come home from my weekend job to find her already hanging out at our house when my husband was there,” ThrowRA-3xbetrayal wrote.

But she didn't react too much on it and says she was "grateful to have someone helping them have a child.”

What made her suspicious?

However, her son's eye colour made her suspicious. She and her husband have blue eyes but the child has brown eyes. A doctor did some blood tests after which she found out that her son’s blood type is B+. The boy's father’s blood type is O+ while she is A+,  and according to the doctor, it was “biologically impossible” for her son to have that blood type. She then got a DNA test done to find out if the fertility clinic had made a big blunder. But the results showed that her husband was the biological father but she was not the biological mother.

“Then my husband confessed that he'd slept with my friend (our surrogate) on a few different occasions during our struggle to have her get pregnant with our embryos,” ThrowRA-3xbetrayal wrote.

The woman was left devastated and decided to divorce her husband and give up parental rights to the child. “I'm LOST and MY WHOLE WORLD HAS BEEN TURNING UPSIDE DOWN IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE,” she wrote.
