Now the reel story is set to become a real story! An engineer from Rajasthan's Sikar district is getting married to a robot, named Giga. He got engaged with the robot on 22 March. However, the wedding date is not yet fixed.
Surya Prakash Samota, a resident of Dhani Derawali of Sikar district, said ‘Giga is being built at a cost of around Rs 19 lakh in Tamil Nadu, while its programming is being done in Delhi.’
He said, ‘Giga's programming cost around Rs 5 lakh and it is in English but Hindi programming can also be added whenever desired. Giga can work for eight hours at a stretch and after that she needs to be charged which takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
'Giga can move only left and right on receiving command and she welcomes the guests, asks to them sit, serves water and says bye while seeing off.'
Samota further said, 'After marriage, he will make Giga a working wife, not a housewife. He himself will look for a job for her.'
