In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old boy from Maharashtra’s Pune lost his life after being hit by a ball on his genitals while playing cricket with his friends.
The deceased has been identified as Shambhu Kalidas Khandve alias Shaurya.
When Shaurya was bowling, he was hit on his private parts by a powerful strike from the batter. The impact was so severe that Shaurya immediately collapsed on the ground, writhing in excruciating pain.
Shaurya’s friends immediately rushed to his aid but failed to revive him. The bystanders then took the boy to the hospital where he was declared dead shortly after the arrival.
A case of accidental death was filed in the matter.
