Accused in Salman Khan house firing case commits suicide in police custody

One of the accused in firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Bandra house committed suicide on Wednesday while in police custody.

He was rushed to a hospital but died while receiving medical treatment.
 
32-year-old Anuj Thapan, who was arrested from Punjab on April 26, hanged himself with a bedsheet, sources said.

Anuj Thapan, and another accused, Sonu Subhash Chander, allegedly gave the weapons used in firing outside the actor's home on April 14.

Both were working for Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The shooters Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) - residents of Bihar – were arrested by Mumbai police from Mata No Madh village in Gujarat's Kutch district.

For uninitiated, five rounds were fired outside Salman's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra around 5 a.m. by two bike-borne assailants on April 14.
