Mumbai: The 16th edition of Sony Entertainment Television’s much-loved quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Bollywood icon - Amitabh Bachchan, will feature music maestros Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam on Friday.

Having created a mark for themselves across the globe, the celebrated duo will be seen putting their knowledge to the test on the hot seat, playing for the noble cause championed by the Smit Foundation, an NGO that provides a home and care for the elderly.

During an engaging conversation, Shreya and Sonu extensively talk about the Smit Foundation’s noble deeds and share insights into their decision to support the NGO with the prize money they win during the gameplay.

Host Amitabh Bachchan also takes a moment to reflect on his son Abhishek Bachchan's commitment to community service from an early age.

“Abhishek studied in a foreign school where, instead of traditional punishments, students were encouraged to participate in community service. I recall him spending an entire day at an old age home, which was instrumental in shaping his sense of responsibility and compassion,” Amitabh proudly shares.

The episode will also highlight a touching moment when Amitabh gives a heartfelt standing ovation to Yojana, the owner of the Smit Foundation.

He moved the audience with his words to the NGO members, stating, “Aaj ke din yeh manch bhi aap hi ka ghar hai,” underscoring the sense of belonging and support that the foundation provides.
