The 16th edition of Amitabh Bachchan-hosted quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, on Sony Entertainment Television, features remarkable individuals whose inspiring stories strike a chord with Big B.

In the auspicious week of Ganesh Chaturthi, the show will feature Mukund Narayan More, a 50-year-old farmer from Dharashiv, Maharashtra, who aspires to modernize farming.

Upon reaching the hotseat, Mukund expresses his gratitude by presenting Amitabh Bachchan with a gift: a ‘potli’ of his first harvest, saying, “Sabse pehle hum jo kisaan hai, apne beej apne Bhagwan ko arpit kartein hai aur mere liye aap Bhagwan ke saman hai.”

A visibly touched Bachchan says, “Kitni baatein sikhne ko milti hai aapse, sadharan hota hai kisaan lekin uska dil bahut bada hota hai.”

On a lighter note, Mukund also shares his fondness for the legendary Kumar Sanu, revealing that he loves listening to the singer’s songs while working in the fields.

In a heartwarming surprise, Amitabh Bachchan arranges a video call with Mukund’s favourite artist to fulfil his wish of talking to Kumar Sanu. When Kumar Sanu appears on the screen, he greets Mukund with the warm words, “Aapka ann kha kar hum jee rahein hai, gana gaa rahe hain, aap bahut mahan kaam kar rahe ho. Aur hum bahut lucky hain ki aap humhare fan ho.”

On Mukund’s request, Kumar Sanu also sings “Sochenge Tumhe Pyaar…” with Mukund joyfully joining in.Through his participation in KBC, Mukund aims to use technology to its fullest in his farming practices to boost yield.

Celebrating his spirit and resilience, Bachchan says, “I sincerely wish that slowly but steadily farming methods get upgraded with the right means via technology.”(UNI)
