Kangana disappointed over delay in Emergency release

Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actress and filmmaker, has expressed her disappointment over the delay in release of her much-hyped ‘Emergency’ as the film is awaiting the censor board’s certificate.The makers of the movie moved to Bombay High Court against the Central Board of Film Certification for delaying the issuance of certificate, delaying the release by two weeks.

The court directed the Central Board of Film Certification to make a decision on the certification of the movie ‘Emergency’ by September 18. The film was originally scheduled to be released on September 6.The film, produced by Zee studio’s and Manikarnika films, is based on emergency imposed in country in 1975.

In the film, Kangana portrays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Choudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade and late Satish Kaushik in the prominent roles.(UNI)
