KBC 16: Jhumri Telaiya's 21-year-old Vaishnavi Bharti wins first cheque, Amitabh Bachchan moved by her inspirational story

New Delhi: Sony Entertainment Television’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 has once again showcased inspiring stories of determination and hope.
 
Among the recent contestants was 21-year-old Vaishnavi Bharti from Jhumri Telaiya, whose compelling journey has captured hearts nationwide.
 
Vaishnavi, who has been preparing for the BPSC exams while pursuing an MA in Political Science, took the hotseat with a heartfelt wish to improve her family’s circumstances. Despite facing significant financial challenges, she balances her academic pursuits with managing her household, particularly in the absence of her mother. Her father, Vivekanand, has been her constant support throughout her journey.
 
During her appearance, Vaishnavi shared her plans for the prize money, stating, “With the winning amount, I want to fix my house, which is not in good condition. Also, I wish to secure my father's future by getting him Mediclaim and insurance for a better life ahead.” She further expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s like a dream come true moment for me. Kaun Banega Crorepati has opened doors for many people across the country, giving everyone the chance to transform their life with the power of knowledge.”
 
The emotional highlight of the episode was Vaishnavi's dedication of her winnings to her father.

Amitabh Bachchan, the show’s host, was moved by her story and encouraged her to hand over the cheques to Vivekanand. The proud father said, “This is my daughter’s first salary and I am so grateful to God for giving us a daughter like Vaishnavi.”
