COVID-19: India records 2,338 new cases, 19 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 2,338 new Covid-19 cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

With the addition of new cases, the total caseload rose to 4,31,58,087, while the death toll rose to 5,24,630 as 19 more succumbed to the disease.

Total 2,134 people recuperated from the disease, taking the tally to 4,26,15,574. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.

The active caseload currently stands at 17,883, the figures showed.

According to the bulletin, 85.04 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 193.45 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
