New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked CEO Rahul Johri to come clean after being accused of sexual harassment by a woman.The woman on Friday night made allegations of sexual harassment against Johri of inappropriate behaviour during his stint at Discovery channel.
Though Johri is yet to reply on these allegations but Supreme Court Appointed Committee of Administrators in its media release has given one week to him to explain on the matter.
"There are certain media reports on Saturday, including in the social media, pertaining to Rahul Johri, CEO BCCI," the release read.
"The reports throw light on allegations of sexual harassment made against Johri, by a woman through a twitter handle as part of the "me too" movement. "He has been asked to submit his explanation within a week. Future course of action will be considered on receipt of his explanation."
The allegations were made public via the Twitter handle of author Harnidh Kaur who shared the screenshots of the detailed account of the alleged victim. (UNI)
