Burnt bodies of three elderly women found in Ratnagiri

Kolhapur/Ratnagiri:The charred bodies of three senior citizens, including a nonagenarian, were found on Friday at their residences in Dapoli tehsil of Ratnagiri.The trio deceased were identified as Satyvati (75), Parvati (90) and Indumati (85), all of them were family members residing in Khotwadi hamlet.

The tragic mishap came to fore on Friday morning when the priest went to fetch key of nearby temple, which was usually kept with the elderly women.Upon getting no response despite several knocks, the priest entered the house from backdoor only to find the burnt bodies. Immediately, he alerted the police.The relatives of the deceased, who work in Mumbai, have been informed. While, it is yet to ascertain if the trio were killed or fell victims to fire incident, stated police.(UNI)
