Kumaraswamy sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnataka

Bengaluru:  A two member JD(S)-Congress alliance government headed by H D Kumaraswamy was today sworn in Karnataka on Wednesday.
Governor Vajubhai Vala administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara. The swearing in ceremony was held on the grand steps of the Vidhana soudha amidst thunderous cheers from a large supporters of the Janata Dal(S) who had gathered despite the inclement weather.
 
A  galaxy of national leaders, including UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi,  AICC President Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,  Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan,  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  Chandrababu Naidu, Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy besides a host  of opposition leaders were present on the occasion.(UNI)
