Ram Bhajan to be played in UPSRTC buses till January 22

Lucknow: Amid the ongoing preparations for the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya to be held on January 22, the Transport Department has directed to play Ram Bhajans on the public address systems installed in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses till January 22.
 
It may be noted that recently Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with officials regarding the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, wherein he directed to organise events such as bhajans, recitation of the Ramayana and Ram Charitmanas and Sundarkand in the temples of Ayodhya from January 14 onwards.
 
According to the action plan prepared by the Transport Department for January 22, cleanliness will be ensured in all passenger vehicles and bus stations whereas popular Ram bhajans will be played on the public address system installed in the buses in order to inspire travellers with the life of Lord Shri Ram.
 
The broadcasting will include renditions of popular devotional songs related to Lord Ram by various artists. In addition to this, bhajans and hymns that are popular among people today as well as devotional songs sung by local singers.
 
Through this initiative, the Yogi government aims to generate enthusiasm among the people of UP about Ramotsava, so that every individual can connect with the program in some way.
 
As per the plan, taxi and tourist bus drivers will have meetings with the authorities to discuss the necessary arrangements for taxis and tourist buses in Ayodhya. Training will be provided to taxi and bus drivers to make them more sensitive towards visitors.
 
The training will also ensure their compliance with safe driving practices and traffic rules, proper conduct towards tourists, mandatory wearing of uniforms by drivers, abstaining from any form of intoxication and chewing tobacco, ensuring cleanliness of vehicles, and not charging more than the specified fare under any circumstances.
 
To assist tourists traveling between Lucknow and Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya, and Sultanpur and Ayodhya, the Transport Department will set up help desks at all toll plazas. For safe travel, road safety and traffic rules will be propagated through hoardings, newspapers, publicity vans, digital banners and all social media. (UNI)
