Southwest monsoon advances further into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speed 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur and a few places or at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.

Heavy rainfall occurred at Kavali of SPSR Nellore district during the last 24 hours.Rainfall occurred at many places over Rayalaseema and at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the same period.The highest maximum temperature of 36.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tirupati in Rayalaseema, the report added.<>
