Teenager booked for abducting, raping ex-girlfriend in Palghar

Palghar:A teenager has been booked for allegedly abducting, raping and holding a girl captive in Mokhada town of this district, police said on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Jayesh Jadhav (19).According to police, the accused was in a relationship with the 18-year-old victim. Later, she was betrothed to another person after which the accused went berserk. 
 
The victim said that Jadhav abducted her on late night of April 18, and subsequently took her to a house in Tuyacha pada locality. Once there, the accused intimidated the victim that he will kill her fiance.
 
Later, he raped the girl and held her captive for next two days after which she managed to escape, said police.The victim said that could not lodge the complaint for so long owing to the lockdown.  
 
Police spokesman Hemant Katkar apprised that offenses against the accused have been booked under relevant IPC sections. No arrest has been made yet as further probe into the case is underway.(UNI)
