Telangana Shocker! 6-year-old girl sleeping with family in rice mill compound abducted, raped, murdered

Peddapalli (Telangana): Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Minister Seethakka visited the site of the tragic sexual assault and murder of a six-year-old girl at Katnapalli Rice Mill in Sultanabad mandal of the district on Sunday.
 
Later, they also visited the girl's family.
 
Speaking on the occasion, the Ministers assured that the government will take necessary steps to punish the guilty. They mentioned that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is very serious about the incident and has called for a speedy investigation.
 
Seethakka stated that the government stands with the victim's family and will take stern action against the accused. Peddapalli Member of Parliament Vamsi Krishna, MLA Vijaya Ramana Rao, and others also visited the crime site.
 
It may be noted here, Vinod Majhi(28), was taken into custody by Peddapalli police on Friday after he killed and raped a six-year-old girl at the rice mill where he was employed.
 
As per M Srinivasulu, the Commissioner of Ramagundam Police, the incident happened on the evening of June 13.
 
The little girl was asleep outside her family's room when the accused took advantage of a power outage to kidnap and attack her. The accused left the site after performing the offence. Following their collection of Majhi's details, the police located and detained him.
