Gonda (UP): Two youths were killed and two others were injured when a car in the convoy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Gonda seat hit them near the Bahraich railway crossing in the Colonelganj of Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Police sources said that two bike riders, Rehan (17) and Shahzade (24) died, while two other pedestrians were seriously injured when a car escorting the convoy of BJP candidate Karan Bhushan Singh from Kaiserganj parliamentary seat collided with the car.
Karan replaced his father and incumbent MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing criminal charges of sexually harassing women wrestlers.
The angry crowd gathered around the CHC and demanded action against the accused. The police reached the spot, took the bodies into custody, and sent them for a postmortem.
The police sources said that legal action is being taken in this regard on the complaint of Chanda Begum, mother of the deceased Rehan.
