Andhra Pradesh: 70-yr-old collapses on way to ward secretariat over pension delay, dies; YS Jagan declares Rs 5 lakh ex gratia

Kakinada: A 70-year-old agricultural worker Kukkala Venkatarao of Toorangi village, a suburb, while going to ward secretariat for enquiring the delay in disbursement of his old age pension, suddenly collapsed and died before being moved to a hospital.
 
Kakinada Rural MLA Kurasala Kannababu rushed to the village and consoled his grief-stricken wife and three children.
 
Kannababu immediately brought this incident to notice of Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, who announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs five lakh to the deceased's family members.
