Delhi Court grants bail to Apoorva in connection with murdering her husband Rohit Shekhar Tiwari

New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Friday granted bail to Apoorva Shukla Tiwari, arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her husband Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, the son of former Uttarakhand chief minister N D Tiwari.

Mehmood Pracha and Yashovardhan Ojha, Counsels for Apoorva, submitted before the court that their client is is in custody for almost last there years and eleven witnesses have been examined in this matter and prima facie no strong case against the applicant has been made, so kindly grant the bail by levelling any terms of conditions.

Ujjwala Tiwari mother of Tiwari had alleged in this matter that Apoorva had married with Rohit as he was the son of the late veteran politician and she believed she would get a ticket to contest elections at Indore after marrying him but after marriage relations turned tense between Rohit and his wife Apoorva and she fought with him on trivial issues.

Shukla, a lawyer, was arrested on April 26, 2019 on charges of the murder of Rohit.As per autopsy report, Rohit was smothered to death on the intervening night of April 15 and 16, 2019.

Additional Sessions Judge Prashant Sharma after hearing arguments on behalf of Prosecution and Defence Counsel granted bail to Apoorva Shukla Tiwari.Yashovardhan Ojha, Counsel for Apoorva, told to UNI that the bail has been granted to her.(UNI)
