Kerala church sex scandal case: Two more priests surrender

Thiruvananthapuram: Two more Orthodox priests, accused in the sex scandal case, exploiting a married woman by blackmailing her of revealing her confession secret, have surrendered on Monday.

While the first accused Fr Abraham Varghese, alias Sony, surrendered before Thiruvalla Magistrate court, the fourth accused Fr Jaise K George surrendered at Kollam Crime Branch office.

The Supreme Court on last Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the duo and directed them to surrender before August 13.

Earlier in July, the other two accused Orthodox priests, Fr. Job Mathew, the second accused and Fr Johnson V Mathew, the third accused, had surrendered before the cops after their bail pleas were rejected. (UNI)
