Punjab: Phagwara mother arrested for helping son to rape

Phagwara: Punjab police have arrested a woman on the charge of helping his son to rape a girl.
 
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused had been identified as Binder, wife of Ranjit Singh of Said Pur Jhirri village.

He said the victim had complained to the police that the accused conspired with her son Lovejeet to kidnap her on the pretext of marriage. The victim said that Lovejeet repeatedly raped her, and she became pregnant.
 
A case have been registered against the accused and his son has been arrested earlier.
 
In another case the Nurmahal police have booked two travel agents including women for allegedly duping a woman of Rs 4.50 lakhs on the pretext of sending her abroad.
 
Investigating officer Kulwinder Singh Virk said the accused have been identified as Parminder Kaur wife of Satrnam Singh of Kang Jagir village under Phillaur police station, and Vijay Kumar Momi of Bhar Singh Pura village under Phillaur police station.
 
Also in another case the Bilga police have booked a mother-son duo for dowry harassment.
IO Satpal said that the accused have been identified as Manpreet Singh of Mohalla Suraj Nagar in Moga City and his mother Satya Devi.
 
Mandeep Lochan, wife of Manpreet Singh of Talwann village, complained to the police that her husband and mother-in-law harassed her for bringing more and more dowry and mentally torched her.
